Imagining Home: The Stories that Photos Tell

  • The Garcia Center for the Arts 536 West 11th Street San Bernardino, CA, 92410 United States (map)

Imagining Home is a 2-day, interactive, multi-genre, creative arts workshop series that is free and open to the public. Not only will participants learn photography skills, they will learn the way photographers use those skills to tell a story about who they are and what they value. This series will help participants become more familiar with uses of storytelling, photography, and visual arts practice. They will engage in a range of activities that integrate humanities scholarship and artistic performance and production. Incorporating practicing academics, local artists, and national performers, these workshops will attract a wide range of community members and provide them opportunities to create and share new narratives of being and place.

This series is sponsored by Cal Humanities, The Garcia Center for the Arts, Cal State Fullerton's African American Studies Department, and KayJo Creatives.
